People just love to demonstrate about any little thing they can find to demonstrate about. I suppose my question to any of them that tried to pass something out to me at the theater would have been, "Have you seen the movie?" A little insensitive? Perhaps, but I get a little tired of protesters. With the logic being used here, we should have seen the following groups protesting:
Cops protesting all of the Dirty Harry movies. Psychiatrists protesting "What about Bob?" Veterans protesting "Rambo." Fathers protesting "Father of the Bride."
and the list could go on and on. Like Just Reading said, for crying out loud, it's a movie!

I found their protesting refreshing. I was glad to see them out with their signs, that's what makes this country great. People having a voice and being able to express their option. Those people were peaceful, respectful and just trying to tell the other side of the story. It reminded me of my 1970 day when we protest the Yucky lunches at our school. We grouped, planed a day, and talked students into not eating lunch that day. We made signs, blocked the lunchroom door , the hall and wala, our protest ended in a very nice salad bar. A lot of good thing have come from protesting, Rosa Park will always be a wonderful example. So Protest away, It's good, it's healthy and it's what makes this county free and Great!!!. I do miss the day when collage kids protested. and tv show like Room 222.

I do miss the day when collage kids protested. and tv show like Room 222. Protesting can be a good thing yes, you and your fellow school students got better lunches from protesting, BUT here is what I'm wondering what's the reason or cause for this protest..??? what are they trying to make better.??? are they pissed because it's an "R" rated movie, the movie is about a fake world, a fake disease, it's a fake story, I can see protesting over bad lunches, but to protest over a fake story, if it were a book what would they have done burned it??? let it go, there are better things to protest about then fake movies that are going to cause no harm to anyone, not even the blind... Why are there no people protesting about our young men dying in Iraq, or about how our President is running our Country into ground while his family and friends are getting rich off of us, or about how the Provo City Police Dept. still has ticket quotas (they call it a review)that makes some officers give out undo tickets so they can meet the quota... but it was nice to see some protest, to bad it was against freedom of speech

but it was nice to see some protest, to bad it was against freedom of speech I think what pissed off the blind protesters is the older stereotypical views of the blind. Unsanitary, unable to do for themselves (the heroine sees), etc. It is fiction doesn't that mean make believe? I'm not sure protesting always helps now I want to spend my money on a dumb movie, maybe I'll take the whole family too. CP

but it was nice to see some protest, to bad it was against freedom of speech So Why haven't you organized a good protest, JR Sir? I think the kids of today have no Idea they have a voice. I know my Free thinking girls have protested small thing, But what ever happened to protesting big thing! Some of the above mentioned ideas would make some mighty fine prostestn'. War, gas prices, taxas, Provo police and I'll add Orem police, and lastly Alaskan Mayors. Organize one JR, let's see what happens. The 60-70 were day close to my heart and are fleeting fast. Someone please bring Protests back, Heck I'd even burn my bra!!! if I wasn't so old and really needed it. Your right it is only a movie. If we believed everything we see in movies we would be sorry indeed. My girls would run around with stakes in there hand, calling each other Buffy. Now that ought to piss off the vampires. Dang
