Calling the shotsThere is about $13 trillion in US businesses that have gone overseas to avoid the high corporate taxes we enjoy. Going to a fair tax [consumption tax] would bring this back. A lot better "bail out" than the $700 billion. With a fair tax there would be no tax on any business. No need for tax compliance would mean a savings nearly $500 billion a year. No need for 35,000 lobbyists in Washington. As they spend billions for their effort I wonder who gets some of that money? McCain at least wants lower corporate and capital gains taxes which would help the economy no end.
