It makes it almost impossible to wade through the posts. Is it necessary to have 68 lines of quoted text just to say, "You're an idiot" or "I couldn't agree more" at the end? That's my point.
But, unfortunately, "you're and idiot" is usually the whole point of the posts.

This is getting really deep. I may have to take a few weeks off to meditate about this.

Well, Dave, I was doing great until this whole "You're an idiot" issue came up. I've been trying to contemplate the deeper meaning of it and it is just keeping me up at nights trying to figure out what it really means. I've been rearranging the letters trying to find the hidden message. I've tried moving the apostrophe around. I've held it up to a mirror and turned it upside down to see if it comes out differntly. I've even tried playing some of my old Beatles tunes backwards while reading it one letter at a time. This is a perplexing puzzle but other than that, I'm doing o.k. Hmmm, smoking weed and reading it while standing on my head.... I'll get back to you later....

I get this error about 1 in 5 posts. What gives?
It is an issue with the forum engine that the Daily Herald uses.
It is a free engine, and a piece a junk, if you ask me.
I wish they would get rid of SMF and use vBulletin.
In the mean time, just do a select all and copy of your post before you click POST. If it gives you that error, hit the 'Back' button on your browser, then do a select all and paste to paste back what you posted. Then click the Post button.
Rinse and repeat as often as necessary.
(it just happened to me, yet again)
They need to upgrade the system and get off SMF 1.1 RC1 (Release Candidate) and upgrade to the latest version 1.1.2 - which is the current stable version.
