This thread discusses the Content article: Spanish Fork festival looks to the sky

This is an outstanding and spectacular event that is being held at a wonderful scenic location, Spanish Fork Reservoir, which overlooks the entire Utah Valley.

Spanish Fork city council and mayor deserves a 'big thanks' for job well done, in their outstanding leadership in developing the first wind power system in the State of Utah and for supplying the outstanding recreational facilities that they have instituted and manage.
THANK YOU

We went today... it was great. My two seven-year-olds had a great time.

Good use of golf carts to cart festival goers from the parking lot as well as up the hill to the exhibits. My kids got to make kites, see the Chinese kite exhibit, see the big kites. They loved it.

My only suggestion would be this... they had the beach closed so the kite team could zoom around the reservoir... which was cool, but...

I would like to seem them keep the beach open. Just string a rope across about 15 ft out from the beach shore, use some buoys, and keep the beach open. It would have been fantastic to hang out on the beach to watch the kite team and be able to have the kids swim.

Kudos to Spanish Fork for doing it. Again, we had a great time and look forward to next year!
