NEBO SF Lilghts Parade STAND ALONE PIX The Winter Lights Parade was held on Friday night, the day after Thanksgiving.¬ Hundreds of people showed up to watch over 40 makeshift floats and decorated vehicles make their way down Main Street in Spanish Fork. NEBO Goshen Elementary Teacher receives Grant June Lopez, teacher at Goshen Elementary, received a grant for literacy through the Nebo Education Foundation. This grant will fund Big Books to help with whole group instruction, shared reading, buddy reading, and independent reading. NEBO Taylor learns water cycles w/3pix On Monday, November 24th, Mrs. Julie Cole from the Utah County Stormwater Coalition came to Taylor Elementary to inform the fourth grade about water use.¬ Students were able to be involved directly in water cylcle activities as well as get a great understanding of how important it is to not pollute our waters.¬ Taylor Tigers sure enjoyed Mrs. Cole's presentation again this year! NEBO Central Bank Angels Central Bank is excited to introduce Central Bank Angels, a Christmas charity program organized to help local families within the community.¬ NEBO Tax Hike for unincorporated Even with a three-month reprieve on repaying excess sales tax to the state, Utah County's unincorporated residents will still have to pay more property taxes in 2009. NEBO Payson Police Report A call came into dispatch on November 24 when the caller spotted a small child in the middle of an intersection in Payson.¬ Officers responded but were not able to locate the child.¬ However, 20 minutes later a report came in stating that a Provo police officer was with the 4 year old boy.¬ The boy's mother was located and the case will be referred to DCFS for review.
