The 25th Payson Scottish Festival is a community-sponsored event that is planned for July 10, 11, and 12th, 2008.

Karen Beagley, bus driver for transportation, is retiring from Nebo School District after 32 years.¬ 

Payson City Councilman Scott Phillips said he was only trying to do the right thing when he confronted and restrained two people he caught putting up graffiti. But prosecutors and the alleged taggers may feel differently, and now Phillips is facing misdemeanor assault charges over the incident.

The Gladstan Ladies Golf Association meets weekly to golf at the Gladstan Golf Course in Payson.

Santaquin City Library held its open house to start their summer program for children Kindergarten to 8th grade. June 4th was the date. It will have an Olympic theme. The Library will have a big poster hanging on the wall. It will have all the participants names, and their points will be posted each week.

The Orchard Hills Elementary School, was decorated with Diamonds and Divas. June 7th 2008 was the date of the Little Miss and Junior Miss Pageant for Santaquin. There were 14 Contestants for each of the two groups. There were four divisions in each group. Eight Queens were chosen.

Elk Ridge City's annual celebration begins Friday, June 27, with a parade down Park Drive at 6:30 p.m.¬ The theme this year is "America the Beautiful." The parade is followed by the Mayor's Dinner at Shuler Park.¬
