Payson Mutton Bustin' entry deadline soon There are full-grown men, rosining up their bull ropes who started out in Mutton Bustin' at the home town rodeo. Mutton Bustin' is a rodeo sheep riding event for five to seven-year-olds. Kids are given a full grown sheep to ride from the chute into the arena for a short time. In roping parlance, it's catch-as-catch-can; kids are allowed to hold on to the wool, the sheep's neck -- hook their legs around the belly. All they have to do is make a short, good ride. The Fiesta Days Rodeo Queens and the Diamond Fork Riding Club members surround the kids and help them in their ride.
