Payson Santaquin Library reading program has Olympics theme Santaquin City Library held its open house to start their summer program for children Kindergarten to 8th grade. June 4th was the date. It will have an Olympic theme. The Library will have a big poster hanging on the wall. It will have all the participants names, and their points will be posted each week. Santaquin Little Miss and Junior Miss pageants held June 7 The Orchard Hills Elementary School, was decorated with Diamonds and Divas. June 7th 2008 was the date of the Little Miss and Junior Miss Pageant for Santaquin. There were 14 Contestants for each of the two groups. There were four divisions in each group. Eight Queens were chosen. 'America the Beautiful' theme of Elk Ridge annual celebration Elk Ridge City's annual celebration begins Friday, June 27, with a parade down Park Drive at 6:30 p.m.¬ The theme this year is "America the Beautiful." in Payson A 10 year old boy on his bike was hit by a car Friday evening about 6:45 p.m. at 800 South and 800 West in Payson. The boy was in the crosswalk and heading south when a car traveling west became distracted for a moment and hit the boy. DeGraffenried inducted into Hall of Fame Nebo School District and Payson High School Athletics nominated Jimmy DeGraffenried into the Hall of Fame for his positive role as an outstanding athlete. This is the first year for this award. Payson High School graduates 435 seniors Four hundred thirty five seniors at Payson High School were part of the annual graduation ceremony which took place on Wednesday, May 28th at 6:00 p.m. at the David O. McKay Events Center at UVU.
