Lone Peak's student council welcomed the student body back to school with one of the cleverest attempts at school spirit I have seen in my two years as a student at Lone Peak High School.


Pleasant Grove police bust theft, fraud and drug crime ring

Pleasant Grove police have arrested several people involved in a ring of residential and vehicle burglaries, credit card fraud, check forgeries, identity theft, forged document and drug crimes.

Alpine is considering raises for its mayor and city council members.


Lone Peak Community Briefing

Signs to be modified -- In order to accommodate more business signs for the Highland Corner Business area by Wells Fargo Bank the present monument sign needed to be widened. The Highland Planning Commission unanimously approved a plan by Allied Sign Company to reconfigure and add two feet to the side of the sign so it would meet the 42 square foot limit in the sign ordinance.


North Utah County library well received

North Utah County library patrons have responded positively since the inter-library agreement took affect July 1.

Lone Peak rappels for faculty team exercise

While students are preparing for the new school year with new clothes and supplies, teachers and other employees at Lone Peak High School are getting ready by rappeling and crossing fields of land mines.


Lone Peak Community Briefing

Cedar Hills watering schedule -- Effective Aug. 1, the Cedar Hills watering schedule was modified according to house addresses as follows: even addresses should only water Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and odd addresses should only water Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.


Alpine Days celebration finishes with 5K race

The last day of the Alpine Days celebration began in the chill of early morning outside of city hall. Over 300 racers congregated and prepared for the upcoming 5K race.

Highland library seeks donations -- Every family which donates either $20 per person or $100 per family toward the opening day collection will be known as a "Library Family" and will be recognized by having their family name on a special plaque that will be displayed in the new library.
