Over a dozen people stayed until after 11 p.m. to hear the discussion of issues related to that development. No vote was held on it, as the council concluded they must first address an annexation issue already underway.

The members of the South Utah Rodeo Club have had a great year! They have been busy competing in high school rodeos all over the state of Utah.

The April 2 meeting of the Mapleton City Council was recorded on video with the intent of making those recordings available online. The hope is that more people will be able to view the proceedings of the meetings and become more involved in city matters.

Mapleton currently has a recycling program in place for those citizens who choose to use it. Curbside recycling is handled by Merrell Recycling for $5 per month for paper pick up.

Volunteers are needed to participate on Mapleton City's Green Committee. The committee meets on the frist Thursday of every month. Their objective is to promote conservation (including recycling) in the city.
