UVSC graduates to be honored at 2008 Commencement -- Utah Valley State College's 2008 Commencement ceremonies will be held April 25 at 10:30 a.m. in the McKay Center. UVSC President William A. Sederburg will conduct.

In Kaiserslautern, I reported to Major General Shoemaker, commander of the 32nd Air Defense Command and an extremely congenial man. In my experience in the military, congeniality seemed to get better with rank. His aide was a major from Utah, and a member of the Kaiserslautern LDS ward. When my new boss, Major Gale, asked where my home was, I answered, "Utah." He said, "Oh, no, not another Utahn." His previous assistant had also been from Utah.

American Fork will have a new grove of Norway maple trees and two oaks planted in Rotary Park in Arbor Day ceremonies Friday.

Opening day -- The public is invited to the open day of the American Fork Youth Baseball League. It will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Art Dye Park, 550 E. 1000 North.
