TRAIN-TRUCK COLLISION -- A train collided with a dump truck Wednesday morning in Provo. Provo firefighters reported the dump truck failed to beat the oncoming train over the tracks at approximately 1600 North and Geneva Road. The train struck the dump truck's trailer at approximately 11:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

 
Old wooden water pipe unearthed in A.F. Print

Contractors were digging along 200 East to place a pipe for the main distribution line for the city's pressurized irrigation system when they found historic pipes and a concrete culvert under the road. They uncovered two segments of wooden pipe in different sizes that combined for 12 to 15 feet in length.
