With music from the Springville High School Marching Band and a cheer from its employees, Wal-Mart in Springville officially cut the ribbon on its newly renovated facility on Oct.1.

City Council gives credit for high water bills in Mapleton Print E-mail

Higher water rates are here to stay for Mapleton city residents, but the readjusted rate passed at the Sept. 3 city council meeting has been applied retroactively to the July and August bills. This means some residents will see a refund in the form of a credit on their September bill.

SHS orchestras in concert Tuesday Print E-mail

On Friday, Oct.17, the Mapleton Chorale and the Payson Civic Chorale will unite their voices for a special fall concert at the Payson High School Auditorium, 1050 S. Main in Payson at 7:30 p.m. Admission to the concert is free of charge.

Beware of bats! Print E-mail

In what sounds like a scary Halloween story, a Springville man was bitten by a bat this past Sunday afternoon. The man was working in his garden when he felt something bite his finger. When he pulled his hand up out of the grass, a small bat was biting his finger.

The Springville High School Orchestra concert season for this school year will kick off on Tuesday, Oct. 14, with a Fall Concert featuring the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Concert Orchestra.
