WALK/RUN TO BENEFIT AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES Print E-mail

Central Utah Center for Independent Living (CUCIL), the Utah County nonprofit organization that serves residents of all ages with disabilities, will hold a local fund-raiser on June 28 in Springville to support its ongoing efforts to assist people with disabilities to reach their full potential. Everyone is invited to participate in the Sixth Annual FUN RUN from 8 to 12 p.m. at the site located on 763 N. 1650 West in Springville.

SPRINGVILLE STUDENT GETS SCHOLARSHIP Print E-mail

Niel¬  R. Burnett, a Springville High School student, received a Horatio Alger scholarship along with 24 other Utah students. The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans is pleased to announce these awards for deserving high school students in Utah. Each scholar will receive $5,000 to fund their college education.

It's time to sign up for the Summer Reading Program at the Springville Public Library. The theme this summer is "Catch the Reading Bug." There are programs for children ages 2 to 7 that will include stories, crafts and games. Kids ages 8 to 12 will enjoy special guests such as magicians and puppeteers. Teens can win cool prizes just for reading. All of these programs are free; all you need to do visit the library and sign up. Hurry! Sign-ups end Saturday.
