Several local youngsters place at Hershey Track Meet Print E-mail

Young people from Springville and Mapleton placed at the Central District Hershey Track Meet in Spanish Fork last week. The first and second place finishers in each event will compete in the State finals next week.

Book Look 'Three Cups of Tea' Print E-mail

The title "Three Cups of Tea" comes from an old Pakistani proverb. The first time you drink tea together you are a stranger, the second time you become a friend, and the third, you join the family. It aptly describes the process of developing understanding between people of different cultures.

Children's Art festival draws crowd during Art City Days Print E-mail

Face Painting, bookmaking, storytelling and more were all part of the annual Children's Art Festival held June 13 at the Springville Museum of Art as part of Springville Art City Days 2008. Roughly 2,500 people attended the event on the Museum grounds.

The three-day celebration will begin on Friday, June 20, with free entertaining, informational, and hands-on workshops. The workshops begin at 7 p.m. in the LDS church at 300 E. Center Street in Spanish Fork.

SUNROC OPENS STORE IN SLC Print E-mail

Sunroc Corporation announced the grand opening of a new facility located at 2355 W. 1500 South in Salt Lake City. The 50,000 square foot building will house the building products and construction services divisions. The new location is part of Sunroc's expansion plans into the Salt Lake market.
