The Spanish Fork Police Department hosted an open house at the new Justice Center on West 100 South last Thursday. Officers gave tours of the new facility to all who came to see the newest addition to the city's infrastructure. |

Spanish Fork's Kite Festival, celebrating wind power will fly high, beginning Sept. 9, noon. til dusk at the Gun Club. Huge, personal watercraft towed kites will fly over the pressurized irrigation pond, 100 ft oriental kites will take advantage of Spanish Fork's vaunted canyon wind and music, food and family events will round out the day. |

Some would say Matt Marziale personally knows "every" kid in Spanish Fork.¬ Some might say that's an understatment.¬ ¬ Marziale, one of Spanish Fork's Recreation Supervisors has accepted an offer from Salem City to become their new Recreation Director.¬ According to Marziale, Salem was very aggressive in pursuing him.¬ And why shouldn't they, with 10 years as a Rec Supervisor, Mayor Thomas described Marziale as an employee who "went the extra mile" and one who would be "difficult to replace". |

And you thought you had a bad Monday. According to Spanish Fork Police, this one-car roll over accident on North Main in Spanish Fork was the result of an apparently impaired driver. The car struck the curb, hit a tree, and rolled onto it's top. Injuries were minor, but damage to the car was significant.
