SF City and Utah County sign 50 year pact Print E-mail
Rich Harris - Spanish Fork Press

The City of Spanish Fork and Utah County signed an agreement to permanently bring the Utah County Fair back to Spanish Fork. Spanish Fork Mayor Pro-tem Wayne Andersen and County Commissioner Larry Ellertson signed the agreement in front of a crowd which included Mayors from around the County and the County Fair Board. Although the pact had been agreed to earlier, this signing marked the beginning of the partnership. The agreement also gives all county residents access to the fairground facilities on the same basis as city residents. An interlocal agreement was signed September 30 by city and county representatives before a small audience to formalize the agreement. The intent of the agreement is that the fair will be held at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds in perpetuity.
