Paul and Terri Cahoon of Las Vegas, Nevada, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Kelsey, to Brian R. Oldroyd, son of Rod and Chris Oldroyd of Springville. The couple was married May 9, 2008 in the Las Vegas Temple.

Kenneth and Nancy Furr of Orem are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Kimberley to Casey William Mecham, son of Chris and Rozlin Mecham of Springville on Thursday, May 15 in the Mount Timpanogos Temple.

 
Robert J. Petersen, 80th Birthday

There will be an Open House at the home of Robert J. Petersen, M.D. 2880 Chippewa Way, Provo for family and friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18 to celebrate his 80th Birthday. He was born in Chicago where he met his wife Bernice of nearly 55 years. They have 6 children, 25 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He attended the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. graduating in 1956, did a residency there in ears, nose, throat, and spent two years at the USAAF Hospital Scott (Illinois). In 1963 he started practice in Provo retiring in 1999. Robert and Bernice spent mission time in Tonga, Santo Domingo, and New Zealand.

 
Rick Ralston Retirement

After 20 Years of service, Rick Ralston is retiring from the Orem Police Dept. An open house is being held May 16 6-8 p.m. in the Clubhouse @ Utah Lake State Park 4400 W Center St Provo.

 
Walking Eagle, Rudd

Ambrea Diane Rudd, and Derek J. Walking Eagle were married May 3rd at the Cedar Hills Golf Club. The bride is the daughter of Paul and Diane Rudd of Pleasant Grove. She will be attending SLCC in the fall.

 
Searle, Castaneda

Carola Castaneda and Brandon Searle will be married May 17, 2008 in the Mount Timpanogos Temple.

 
Proud To Serve

Scott Bradley Anthony has just completed specialized training for the US Marine Corp at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. He has been assigned a 2 year tour of duty in Okinowa, Japan and leaves on May 14th. Upon graduating from American Fork High School in 2007, Scott chose the US Marine Corp as a career path. Upon enlisting with the Marines, Scott received an automatic rank advancement from private to private first class due to the fact that he was an Eagle Scout. After successfully completing 13 weeks of intensive basic training where he was a squad leader (dropping 40 lbs and beefing up) in San Diego, CA, he was then sent to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO for specialized training for the US Marines. Upon completion of this training Scott received another promotion to Lance Corporal. Scott is the son of Bart and Deonne Anthony that reside in Lehi.

 
Leo and Merla Reimschiissel 50th Anniversary

Leo and Merla Reimschiissel are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 16, 1958.

 
Rencher Retirement Surprise Party

Mr. Grant Rencher, loved school teacher from Wasatch Elementary (1985-2008), is retiring this year. A surprise party in his honor will be held at Wasatch Elementary School Gym, on May 29, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. If you cannot attend but would like to write him a letter for a book we're putting together please call his daughter Melissa at 705-4766.

 
Bellows, 65th

Congratulations Lynn and NaDean on your 65th Wedding Anniversary! On May 14, 1942, Lynn J Bellows and NaDean Davis were wed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. They have spent the last 65 years enjoying one another and their five daughters, from eldest to youngest, Carolyn (deceased) and Eldon Louder; Joann and Paul Gillespie; Mary and Darell Beardall; Linda and Randy Olsen; and Kris and Randy Christensen. Lynn and NaDean enjoy 27 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Lynn and NaDean are choosing to celebrate their lives together with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Brian and Denise Seegmiller of Syracuse are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Shaila, to Joshua Told, son of David and Belinda Told of Cedar Hills on Friday, May 16, 2008 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. A reception will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at The Victorian, 2767 West Gentile Street, Layton, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. An open house will be held Friday May 16, 2008 at The Bungalow, 235 South 100 West, Pleasant Grove, from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
