Marva Waters Davis, born June 19, 1928 in Mapleton, Utah, will celebrate her 80th Birthday with an open house on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Springville Seniors Center, 65 E. 200 S., from 2 to 5 p.m. She has been married to Keith Davis for over 60 years. They have three children, Shauna (David) Johnson, Suzanne Davis and Tom (Shirlene) Davis, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Marva has been very active in her church, having served in many positions. She has served in civic and service organizations, recently being honored with her husband as Citizens of the Year 2008 for Springville. All friends and family are invited.

Richard and Shirley Horsley were married on June 9, 1958. They celebrated this occasion on Father's Day, Sunday, at their son's home in Highland, UT. They had six children with 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. For nearly 30 years Richard has owned a used bookstore in the Provo area and will be available at his store at 129 W. Center St. all this week to greet his many friends. No gifts, just good wishes for more years ahead.

Madison Kate Stewart, age 14, daughter of Gary and Kimberly Stewart of Orem, received her Young Womanhood Recognition Award on June 8, 2008. She is a member of Orem Timpview 5th Ward. Her projects were: reading the Book of Mormon, made a going away movie for brother's mission, school choir, studied and improved eating & exercise habits, scrapbooked & organized brother's mission e-mails, babysitting for service, school dance team.

This Saturday Marvin Stratton and Nanalee Johnson will celebrate 65 happy years spent in one another's company. They were married June 23, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. In their years together, they have raised seven children, influenced 33 grandchildren, and greeted 33 great-grandchildren into the world. Come celebrate with them at an open house on Saturday, June 21, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at 646 N 750 E in Orem.
