Congratulations to Robert Arlo and Mary Warner Palmer as the celebrate their "70th Wedding Anniversary" June 24, 2008. They were raised and lived in Fillmore, Utah; Robert, the son of Luther Orrin and Addie Palmer and Mary, the daughter of Newel Knight and Mary Ellen Warner. They were married on June 24, 1942. The couple made their home in Fillmore for the next 25 years, as nine children were born to their family.

Aleesa D. Kurtz, daughter of John and Kathy Kurtz of Orem and a 2002 graduate of Orem High School received her Masters of Business Administration from Westminster College on May 31. She completed her under-graduate degree in Aviation Management at Westminster and has been employed with the college's aviation program for the past six years. She has accepted the position of Aircraft Operations Coordinator with ORBIS International in New York City, a nonprofit organization fighting blindness in developing countries. The organization is known for the world's only airborne eye health training and surgical center.

Karen Dixon is retiring after 24 years of service as a teacher in the Provo School District and at Cherry Hill and Orem Elementary in the Alpine School District.

The children of W. Kay and Joyce W. Carlos and Audrey Watters are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They were married June 18, 1958 in Minneapolis, MN and were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. They are dearly loved by 8 children, 32 1/2 grandchildren and 9 great.

Helen Elaine McFarlane Pyne will celebrate her 80th Birthday Tuesday, June 10 with family and friends. Helen is the wife of the late Dee Pyne. Mother to Debbie Rohbock, Randy (Ann) Pyne, Michelle (Skip) Dunn. Helen has 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Carol Doxey Gibson, of Provo is pleased to announce the marriage of her daughter, Emily, also daughter of the late LeRoy and Peggy Gibson, to Chad Timmreck, son of Thomas and Ellen Timmreck of San Bernardino, CA. They will be married Thursday, June 12, 2008 for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple with a garden reception at 1201 East 1220 North, Orem, UT that evening. Friends are cordially invited. They will make their first home in Burbank, California.

Eric Mausser, Director of Human Resources for Provo City will retire June 30, 2008, after 28 years of service. Eric obtained a Bachelor's of Psychology and Masters of Public Administration from BYU. He is a Senior Professional of Human Resources, as well as an adjunct professor in the University of Phoenix MBA faculty. An open house will be held in his honor, Monday, June 30, 2008 from 3:00 - 5:00 at Provo City Center, 351 West Center.
