Russell Ardeen Childs and Nida Mendenhall Childs of Provo, Utah are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on Saturday, August 9, 2008 with family and friends. They were married August 11, 1948 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Congratulations to Ronald Max and Mary Leone Smith Johnson from Spanish Fork on their "Golden Wedding Anniversary". Ron and Mary Leone were married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 6, 1958. They have three children; Ron (Brenda) Johnson, Shane (Bobbie) Johnson, and Denise Santillan. They have been blessed with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Madison Nichols, age 13, daughter of Darin and Cathy Nichols of Springville, received her Young Womanhood Recognition Award on July 27, 2008. She is a member of the Spring Creek 20th Ward, Springville Utah West Stake. The most rewarding projects she completed were making a Sunday quiet book, learning the Young Women Theme in ASL (American Sign Language), and assisting in a special needs summer school.
