Courage Reins seeks volunteers -- Courage Reins, a therapeutic horseback riding program for children, needs volunteers to help care for the horses and assist during lessons. No experience is needed. All ages may help, but those under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. More information is available at www.couragereins.org or by calling Vicki Armstrong at 362-0082.

Stamp Out Hunger -- Utah letter carriers will hold their annual food drive on Saturday and Utahns are encouraged to participate by placing non-perishable food in a bag near their mailbox prior to mail delivery. The drive, in its 16th year, is the largest one-day food collection in the nation.

An abundance of history is there to be found at the Alpine City Cemetery. Walking the grounds can be an adventure, but there is a layer of history that is as of yet unseen.

Alpine Community Theater musical auditions for 'Seussical' Print E-mail

Auditions for Alpine Community Theater (ACT) summer production of "Seussical, The Musical" begin on Saturday at Timberline Middle School in Alpine. Audition times are 9 a.m. to noon for boys and girls ages 8-12, 12:30-2:30 p.m. for¬ adults ages 19 and older, and 1:30-4:30 p.m. for teens ages 13-18. Anyone who needs to come at a different time should contact Laura Snyder in advance at 763-1225.
