'See How They Run' Beginning Friday, the Valley Center Playhouse will present "See How They Run," a play by Philip King. The madcap comedy is filled with numerous plot twists, mistaken identities, mysterious rumors and a whole lot of silliness.
The production is appropriate for the whole family, but the theater requests that patrons leave children younger than 5 at home. "See How They Run" will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday and will continue to run Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays through June 20. The Valley Center Playhouse is located at 780 N. 200 East in Lindon. Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for students, children and seniors, and $25 for families. Call 224-5310 for reservations. 'Ragtime' Portraying historical events and giving a social commentary on the early 20th century, the musical "Ragtime" will open at the Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley City on Monday. This musical tells the interwoven stories of three families from diverse backgrounds -- poor Jewish immigrants, black musicians and upper-class Caucasians. The production will feature elaborate props, including a Model-T Ford that has been modified to be destroyed during each performance, projections of panoramic cityscapes, and a flying Harry Houdini. "Ragtime" will begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday and will continue through July 23. (There will be no performance July 4.) Saturday matinees will begin at 12:30 and 4 p.m. The Hale Centre Theatre is located at 3333 S. Decker Lake Dr. in West Valley City. Tickets are $19 for adults and $14 for children Mondays-Thursdays and matinees. Friday and Saturday evenings, tickets are $21 for adults and $15 for children.
