Author Todd Cope will be autographing copies of Accepting Joy on Friday, May 25 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Seagull Book and Tape, 1052 North Main, in Spanish Fork

Accepting Joy is Cope's fourth book and a companion to his previous two novels, So Much For Christmas and A Dream Come True. All three books deal with events in the life of the Cooper family and while connected, easily stand alone. "A person doesn't need to read all three books in sequence to understand and enjoy the story," Cope said. "Although it would be nice if they did," he added with a wink.

As with all of Cope's books, Accepting Joy has a powerful message interwoven with a measure of intrigue. In this latest work, Rachel and Andrew are struggling with everything that is part of being newly expectant parents. At the same time, they are trying to settle into their new neighborhood. When they learn that their baby could be born with Down syndrome, each finds their own way to deal with the news. In the end, each has to accept reality and find a way to accept joy into their lives.
