Emily Smith, music teacher at Mt. Nebo Junior High, received a grant for the music through the Nebo Education Foundation. This grant will fund music for band, choir and orchestra. Emily Smith exclaimed, "The Mt. Nebo Junior High school performing arts department is very appreciative of the grant received from the Nebo Foundation! Because this is our first year with eight- and ninth-graders at our school, we have no music appropriate for their ability level.
We will use this money to buy music for the eight- and ninth-grade bands, choirs and orchestras so they may continue to develop their musical talent. Thank you!
The Nebo Education Foundation meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 a.m. to discuss submitted educational grants for students in Nebo School District. One of the goals of the foundation is to fund worthwhile projects in the district that provide resources to enrich student learning.
The Nebo Education Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) organization created to bring businesses and donors together for the benefit of Nebo District school children. The foundation carefully manages and disperses tax deductible donations to local schools.
