TRIAL CONTINUED - The trial of former Utah County commissioner David Gardner, which was scheduled to begin on Thursday, was continued on Tuesday. Gardner is charged with sexual battery, a Class A misdemeanor. He is accused of fondling a Payson woman during a car ride.

GENOLA TOWN CLERK - Former Genola town clerk Traci Wright made her initial appearance in Provo's 4th District Court on Tuesday on allegations that she stole city money. She is charged with 13 counts of misuse of public money, 13 counts of forgery and one count of theft. Wright's defense attorney, Michael Petro, said the prosecution has not yet determined a final amount that they believe Wright stole while serving as town clerk. Estimations range from $80,000 to $240,000, Petro said. Wright will be back in court on March 25.

SPRINGVILLE DEATH - Springville police confirmed on Tuesday that Jeffery Reed Butler did not die of carbon monoxide poisoning. Lt. Dell Gordon said it would likely take six to eight weeks to get the results of a toxicology test on Butler from the state medical examiner's office. Butler was found dead in his Springville home on Sunday.

REWARD FOR ROBBERY SUSPECT - Provo police on Tuesday announced a $1,000 reward for information leading to the capture and conviction of a man who is suspected of stealing prescription drugs in multiple pharmacy robberies. Police described the suspect as a white male in his mid-20s, between 6-foot-1 and 6-foot-3, 180-220 pounds, with acne scars on his face. Police cautioned people not to confront the suspect.
