More than $40,000 was also found in the home, along with a stolen gun, which led police to believe the family was distributing the drugs. Omar Martinez-Carranza was charged with possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.
Omar Martinez-Carranza was on a $5,000 bail for a prior federal drug charge and could lose the money as a result of this arrest, Murphy said.
All three of the other family members were charged with possession with intent to distribute meth, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a restricted person. Guadalupe Martinez-Carranza was also charged with unlawful possession of ID and possession of fraudulent government documents.
Murphy said the four all have immigration holds because they are in the country illegally from Mexico. Police are seeking federal charges against the family, and Murphy said they will not likely receive bail because of their immigration status.
"They're definitely not here for legal purposes or gainfully employed," he said. |

This sadly pathetic staff of three agents has removed over 5,800 aliens in the past 8 years.
Keep up the good work!
Although, eight law enforcement people consisting of ICE and Provo Police to determine the identity of one Hispanic gang-banger individual seems like a waste of resources and manpower.

I am not so sure that you do understand. Did you actually read the last two paragraphs of my last post in this thread?
There are just some trades in the construction industry that I wouldn't even consider hiring whites for because they are too damn lazy to do.
With all these "lazy white guys", how do you figure we built the greatest country in the world? Something does not ring true, now does it?
Drywall and stucco are the first two that jump out at me. Mexicans will work harder, longer hours,
Will? Or have to? I know a local contractor who underbids everybody else, because he underpays, does not submit workman's comp taxes, SS taxes, etc., pays no attention to things like a 40 hour work week, etc., BECAUSE he hires illegal aliens. He hauls his injured to the ER, dumps them off, where they get away without paying their bills.
...and do better work at those two than whites will. White guys think they need to work about a 6 hour day and then go home but still get paid for 10 hours. Mexicans on the other hand will put in 10-12 hours and then ask where the next job is.
Uh huh...I submit that you sir, are part of the problem, not the solution! When you can hire slaves, you apparently feel that you have some right to do so.
I'm not saying this at all to defend illegals... I'm ready to deport every damn illegal in the country!!! I'm just saying I've worked around a lot of mexicans in the construction industry and when it comes to some of the trades....they have a better work ethic than a lot of whites. Just my opinion from what I see from 20 years in the business.
I would submit that if you hire citizens, treat them with respect, pay them well, give them reasons to work hard for you, other than starvation wages that is, you will find that they will work their heart out for you.
Cheat them, underpay them, and then compare them with a foreigner who comes from a place where $5 a day is considered a fair wage, assuming they can find job at all; well, take off your rose colored glasses, take a look at our culture and economy and then reevaluate where you really stand.
The LDS Church is ultimately at fault here. They have forced our legislators to pander to illegal aliens at almost every instance. I am a devoted member of the LDS Church but I do not agree with many of their back room policies regarding illegal immigration. Bishops are told not to question illegal aliens regarding their legal status. That means the LDS Church is allowing law breaking felons to enter LDS temples here in the U.S. What ever happened to "obeying and sustaining the law"? Seems to me that the church only obeys those laws which they deem convenient. The situation here in Utah is especially sickening.

If that count is sadly pathetic, than I hope they can be even more sad and pathetic. That seems like a job well done for an overworked (and probably underpaid) staff.

Apparently "obeying and sustaining the law" has given way to the elimination of American sovereignty and scraping the Constitution, in favor of a socialist North American Union. If it isn't obvious what god "The Brethren" at Temple Square follow, it soon will be.

You are right, we probably do agree more than we disagree. I don't believe that the work ethic of our citizens is the issue here.
Certainly, it is an issue, but it is not the point of this thread. But, from your posts, I would submit that perhaps your citizen workers are clock watchers because you teach them that is what they are to do...you apparently do so. So, why not them? What goes around, comes around.
Remember, I suggested that employees be treated with respect? Do you trust them? They will figure out in short order whether you do or not. If you don't let them go the extra mile, they won't. The way you get that accomplished is to trust them.
If you don't feel that you can trust them, then it's time to find new employees...IMHO. Or, reconsider how you are actually treating them. (FWIW, prior to retiring, I had about 35 employees, I got that extra effort from every one of them, and I think I got it because I trusted and respected them.)
In any event, we are way off topic here.
So, have you called the county commissioners yet?
That was the point of my initial post here. If not, why not?
