Fusion Asian Grill
This Korean restaurant is full of smells -- ones you'll like but not necessarily ones you'll recognize.
Korean food includes some ingredients and dishes that might not be familiar to the casual diner, such as kimchee (made from cabbage) and doenjang (fermented soybean paste). But during our visit, several parties came in and ordered their food in Korean, so you know it's authentic.
We liked the BiBimBop and BolGoGi, both traditional Korean meat dishes. Main entrees are around $9 and there are several tasty ice creams available for dessert, including apricot, plum and green tea.

Max Cheese
Finally, a place where Mom and her girlfriends can go to lunch, a real lunch, without getting a sitter. There's a play area in the middle of the restaurant so you can keep an eye on the kids while catching up with friends.
It's not a jungle gym like at the fast food places -- there are trains, puzzles and other simple things to keep them occupied for the duration of your meal. There's a kids menu with things such as grilled cheese and hot dogs, but on our trip the kids were more interested in the play space than the food.
Adult dishes include several tasty salads, pastas, wraps and sandwiches, costing between $7 and $9. It's a small price to pay for busy kids and adult conversation.

Pastorero Taco Grill
There's an exciting new take on Mexican food here, where the tacos are served flat so you can roll your own and the pork is roasted in slices on a spit, gyro-style.
There are several main dishes ranging from $5 to $9, or you can create your own from several meats and fixings. Then top it off with any of the six Pastorero sauces such as Chili Dream or Avocado Lime.
You order at a counter, but a server brings out your food and cleans up for you. It's good food in a casual atmosphere.
