Sundance sells vintage posters Print E-mail
Daily Herald

There's an exciting new option for movie buffs who are looking to upgrade their home decor, while supporting independent filmmaking at the same time.

On April 8, the Sundance Institute announced plans to sell vintage official Sundance Film Festival posters online at www.sundance.org. The posters are from more than 20 years of the annual film festival, held each year in January in Park City.

Designers create a new poster for the festival each year, so there are lots of options. The posters are priced between $75 and $100, and all proceeds from poster sales will be used to benefit the Sundance Institute's year-round workshops and labs for aspiring filmmakers.

In a release issued by the Sundance Institute, managing director Jill Miller said, "We are pleased to be able to offer to festival goers, film lovers and collectors alike these works of art -- some which have not been seen in over 20 years."
