ALPINE/HIGHLAND

KIDNAPPING/DOMESTIC VIOLENCE -- Troy L. Mehlhoff, 39, has been booked into the Utah County jail on charges of two counts of 2nd degree kidnapping and domestic violence. About 6 p.m. on April 24, officers were notified of a domestic violence and kidnapping incident which had occurred earlier in the day in Alpine. A 38-year-old woman said she and her boy friend had become involved in a verbal argument at approximately 2 p.m. at their common residence. The argument escalated to a point where she was physically assaulted and bound with duct tape and restrained in the residence. The man then left. After several hours, she was able to free herself, leave the residence and contact police.

AMERICAN FORK

RETAIL THEFT -- A 47-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl were cited for retail theft after they entered a local business and attempted to shoplift approximately $300 in merchandise.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT -- A 26-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to a traffic accident and found that one of the involved individuals had gotten aggressive and threatened others at the scene.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS -- Officers were dispatched to a report that several juveniles were breaking into a church through a window. Officers arrived and located the suspects. The suspects had pried open several drawers in the church. Officers cited four juveniles for criminal trespass.

DUI -- A 29-year-old man was arrested on April 20 for DUI after officers made a traffic stop.

SIMPLE ASSAULT, INTOXICATION, DISORDERLY CONDUCT -- A 32-year-old woman was arrested for simple assault, disorderly conduct and intoxication on April 20 after officers were dispatched to a report of two women fighting at a local restaurant.

FAMILY DISPUTE -- An 18-year-old man was arrested for criminal mischief, illegal consumption of alcohol, threats against life or property and abuse of a 911 call after officers were dispatched to report of a family dispute on April 20.

RETAIL THEFT -- On April 21, an 18-year-old woman was cited for retail theft after she was caught taking various "snacks" from a local business.

SIMPLE ASSAULT/DISORDERLY CONDUCT -- A 47-year-old man was cited on April 22 for simple assault and disorderly conduct and a 17-year-old boy was cited for disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to a road rage incident.

MARIJUANA POSSESSION AND DUI -- On April 22, an 18-year-old man was arrested for DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers stopped to check on a suspicious vehicle. A 19-year-old passenger and a 20-year-old passenger were arrested for possession of marijuana.

RETAIL THEFT -- A 45-year-old man was cited on April 22 for retail theft after he attempted to shoplift several music CDs from a local business.

INTOXICATION -- A 52-year-old man and a 36-year-old man were arrested on April 23 for intoxication and disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to a report of a man yelling and fighting with a woman.

COMMUNICATIONS FRAUD -- On April 23, a 31-year-old woman and a 32-year-old woman were arrested for five counts of communications fraud and money laundering after they were caught stealing items from a local business and selling the items through the Internet.

RETAIL THEFT -- A 46-year-old man was arrested on April 23 for retail theft after he attempted to return several items that he had not purchased, for a refund.

DUI -- A 39-year-old man was arrested on April 26 for DUI after his vehicle was stopped for speeding

SUPPLYING ALCOHOL TO A MINOR -- On April 26, a 21-year-old man was cited for supplying alcohol to a minor and a 17-year-old boy was cited for illegal possession of alcohol after a citizen watched the transaction between the two suspects.

INTOXICATION -- A 55-year-old man was arrested on April 26 for intoxication after officers were dispatched to a disturbance at a local business.

DUI -- A 33-year-old woman was arrested for DUI after officers were dispatched to a report of a traffic accident on April 26.

CEDAR FORT

Traffic Accident -- A driver braked sharply to avoid hitting a deer in the roadway. Another vehicle following behind struck the first vehicle in a rear-end collision. No injuries were reported to anyone in the vehicles. The deer was not hit. Both vehicles had minor damage. The driver of the second vehicle received a warning for following too closely.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN

DUI -- An officer made a post-midnight traffic stop on SR73 because he observed erratic driving behavior. The driver failed field sobriety tests. There were open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. A records check showed that the driver had a revoked registration, suspended driver's license and no interlock device. He was booked into the Utah County Jail.

Auto Theft -- A patrol officer stopped a car for a minor mechanical violation in the early morning hours of April 26. Computer records listed the vehicle as stolen from another Utah County city. Both the adult driver and juvenile passenger were arrested. The driver was booked into the Utah County Jail for auto theft and the passenger was booked into a juvenile detention facility.

FAIRFIELD

Medical Assist -- An officer assisted emergency medical personnel at the scene of a para-gliding accident. The para-glider fell approximately 100 feet from his glider and was injured. The patient was transported to the University of Utah Hospital by Airmed Helicopter.

LEHI

TRAFFIC OFFENSE -- An individual was cited for no insurance and suspended driver's license on April 17. Vehicle was towed.

WELFARE CHECK -- Children were left alone on April 17. Case will be sent to DCFS and the City Prosecutor will review.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE -- A man was booked into the Utah County jail on April 13 on domestic violence assault, domestic violence in the presence of a child, and intoxication.

ZONING -NUISANCE -- Complaint on April 14 of many people living in a single family dwelling.

LITTERING -- On April 14, officer observed a littering incident. Male suspect was given a verbal warning after he picked up his discarded lit cigarette.

ZONING/NUISANCE -- Complaint on April 15 of railroad parking trains in front of homes.

BURGLARY -- Cabinet doors reported stolen from a home under construction on April 12.

TRAFFIC OFFENSE -- Man cited with DUI, no driver's license, and improper lane travel on April 12

THREATENING -- Juvenile boy was arrested for terroristic threat on April 11.

TRAFFIC OFFENSE -- Man booked into Utah County jail on April 11 on a warrant, suspended driver's license, no insurance, taillight required, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Woman passenger booked into jail on a warrant and possession of paraphernalia.

TRESPASSING -- On April 11, a man was booked into the Utah County jail for trespassing, no insurance, and suspended driver's license.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT -- Three juvenile boys were cited into Juvenile Court on April 10 with disorderly conduct.

TOBACCO PROBLEM -- Two juvenile boys were cited into Juvenile Court on April 10 for possession of tobacco on school grounds

TOBACCO PROBLEM -- Three juveniles were cited with possession of tobacco and sent through Juvenile Court on April 8.

TRAFFIC HAZARD -- On April 7, officers were dispatched to a traffic hazard. Report of a tire on the tracks at 2100 North and Point Meadow. A tire was located about 50 feet north of the roadway, about 30 feet east of the tracks. It was unknown who moved it to that location. Police determined the tire was not a traffic hazard.

ALCOHOL OFFENSE -- On April 6, officers responded to a family fight. Woman cited with intoxication. Parties were separated.

PLEASANT GROVE

THEFT -- A drink vending machine at the waste transfer station in Lindon was damaged on April 25 and loose change and bills were stolen from it. Value of the machine and the amount of money stolen was unknown at the time of the report.

THEFT -- On April 26, an individual reported he was missing approximately $4,000 in cash.

TOBACCO PROBLEM -- On April 21, two men were observed jay-walking through traffic at 100 East 450 South. An arrest was made for tobacco violation, and possession of green marijuana and paraphernalia.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM -- On April 22, officers served a search warrant on a Pleasant Grove address. Leafy marijuana, paraphernalia, and prescribed pills were taken into evidence. An individual was arrested.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM -- On April 24, a baggie of marijuana was found in a vehicle after the vehicle had been repossessed. As several individuals had been in control of the vehicle since the repossession and as no evidence was found to support a case against the vehicle owner, the marijuana was collected and was booked to be destroyed.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM -- An individual reported she found drug paraphernalia in her sons' room on April 27. She asked her son be charged.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM -- A traffic stop for a tail light violation on April 21 revealed marijuana and paraphernalia. The suspect was cited and released.

DRIVING-UNDER-THE-INFLUENCE -- A car was stopped on April 23 for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested for DUI. The passenger was released to a friend. The car was released to the drivers' parents. The driver was later released with a citation.

DUI -- A traffic accident on April 27 resulted in the arrest of a woman for DUI and other charges.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF -- Officers responded to a report of a car that had a tail light broken over night on April 26. A check through the area found eight vehicles and a mailbox damaged.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF -- On April 26, an individual reported someone put clear silicone on two vehicles and a mailbox.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF -- A criminal mischief detail on April 27 resulted in two men being arrested for criminal mischief and three juveniles boy arrested for criminal mischief and curfew.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF -- Officers responded to a report of car windows being broken out of two vehicles on Apr. 27. Both were in the same area.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF -- On April 21, an individual reported the taillight and driver side mirror being damaged on his pickup.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF -- On April 27, officers responded to several vehicles having their windows being broken out or the cars damaged by an air soft gun.

BURGLARY -- On April 24, officers investigated a burglary involving a business. Cash was stolen and property damage had occurred.

BURGLARY -- An unknown suspect forced entry into a home in Lindon on April 22. Nothing appeared to have been taken. Photos of the damaged door and a shoe print were taken. The case is active to investigations, and is related to several similar cases.

BURGLARY -- On April 22, officers responded to Lindon residence on a report of a burglary. Entry was made by force through the garage door and the door into the house from the garage. Collectible coins were taken.

SARATOGA SPRINGS

Death Investigation -- Officers responded to the report of a man that had stopped breathing during the night. The man was taken to the American Fork Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim had suffered from various medical issues. The death is under investigation, but appears accidental.
