Republican women -- State senators from Utah County will give a report on the past legislative session at the May 5 meeting of the Utah County Republican Women at noon the Provo Library, 550 N. University Ave.
Speakers include John Valentine, Curt Bramble, Howard Stephenson, Margaret Dayton and Mark Madsen. A light lunch will be served. For information, call Pres. Suzanne Merrill at 796-0831 or Millie Ashby at 226-1784.
Women in Leadership -- Dr. Valerie M. Hudson will speakabout the implications of gender imbalances in Asia at the monthly Women in Leadership meeting May 8 beginning at 11:30 a.m. for networking and noon for the actual meeting presentation. It will be held at the Provo Library, Room 309, 550 N. University Ave. A buffet lunch will be available for $7. New members and guests are always welcome.
Dr. Hudson is a professor of Political Science at Brigham Young University who has researched national security affairs, foreign policy analysis, and gender in international relations. |
