Ky. school bus involved in crash, 1 dead Print E-mail
The Associated Press

FALMOUTH, Ky. -- Kentucky State Police say one person has been killed in an early morning crash involving a school bus and a dump truck in northern Kentucky.

Both drivers and 10 children were taken to a hospital for minor injuries. The collision occurred shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday.

State police dispatcher Amy Wyatt says one person died. She doesn't know whether the victim was a student or an adult.

Pendleton County Sheriff Craig Peoples says the accident happened on a crooked stretch of highway. He did not give details on how the crash occurred, but says the dump truck was hauling stones from a quarry and flipped over. He says the bus had extensive damage on its driver's side.
