Kellie Pickler concert
Popularized by her Southern charm and small-town naÃØvety, former "American Idol"finalist Kellie Pickler will perform at the Sandy Amphitheater this summer.
Her summer concert will include songs from "Small Town Girl,"which has yielded three top 15 singles.
Pickler's performance will be July 24 at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $18 to $25 and can be purchased at (801) 568-2787, www.sandyarts.com, at any Smith'sTix location or at Sandy City Hall, 1000 S. Centennial Parkway, Room 310.
On a wing and a joke
A Nashville-based artist who calls pop superstars Ne-Yo and One Republic his friends is coming to the Orem Wiseguys comedy cafe on Friday.
Growing up in Music City, R B singer Josh Hoge moved to Los Angeles and worked with Epic Records. His time in Hollywood led Hoge to develop relationships with some of the industry's most popular artists. These hitmakers contributed to Hoge's debut album, "Everything She Was."
Hoge's show will be Friday at 8 p.m. at Wiseguys comedy cafe, in the University Parkway apartments in Orem. Tickets can be purchased for $10 at the cafe. For more information, call 377-6910 or visit www.wiseguyscomedy.com.
