iMergent names tax planning consultant to its board -- iMergent Inc., an Orem-based ecommerce software provider, named David R. Williams, to its board of directors.
"His expertise in legal and accounting practices will provide counsel to the management team and assist iMergent to continue executing its strategies," said Don Danks, iMergent's chief executive.
Since 2004, Williams has served as the chairman and chief executive officer at Equity Management Group, which provides asset management, tax consulting and financing for EMG-Lakewater LLC. From 1996 to 2004, Williams served as an independent consultant in taxation, real estate transactions and venture capital. During a nine-year tenure at Wilshire Equities Corp., he served as chief financial officer and tax counsel from 1987 to 1990, and as president from 1990 to 1996.
BMW Bank in SLC names new executives -- BMW Bank of North America LLC of Woodcliff Lake, N.J., added three executives to its top management team in Salt Lake City. BMW Bank, which is owned by BMW Financial Services, offers credit card products.
Ken Petersen was appointed chairman of the BMW Bank, where he will act as chair of the board of directors and will be responsible for providing oversight of bank management. Petersen will also be responsible for managing and maintaining the bank's external relationships. Petersen has more than 20 years of experience and has held similar positions at industrial banks owned by USAA; Advanta; GE Capital; Sears Roebuck and GMAC.
Bill Donnelly, formerly the bank's chief financial officer, has been appointed president. He joined BMW Financial Services in 1999 as risk manager. Prior to that position, he spent 12 years with the credit card and automotive finance divisions of Chase Manhattan Bank.
Mike Kobayashi has been appointed chief financial officer of the BMW Bank. Kobayashi began his career with BMW of North America in 1991 as a senior operations analyst, and in 1994 moved to BMW US Capital Corp. as assistant treasurer. In 2001, he joined CNH Global N.V. in Lake Forest, Illinois and held various senior financial positions before rejoining BMW US Capital Corp. in 2004 as treasurer. Before beginning his career with BMW, Kobayashi was an automotive equity analyst for PaineWebber Inc. in New York.
BMW Group Financial Services offers leasing, retail, commercial financing and banking products to BMW customers, and also provides dealers with financing to expand their dealerships. |
