Key difference Print E-mail
Daily Herald

Several letters appear daily on the subject on polygamy. It was mentioned about the differences in men that father children and then don't provide for them and the ones that do care for them.

Well, the difference is in our tax money, namely welfare fraud and the abuse of girls (yes, girls under the age of 18) that do not have a choice. If the "girls" are over the age of 18 and the men can afford to have several wives and lots of children, then, like was said in one letter, it is no different than men who are never there for their families.

But I am offended when they want to use my tax money for welfare fraud and the young girls that don't have a choice in the matter. I am offended that the men in the compound in Texas are not being rounded up and put in to jail themselves. Texas has a big job in trying to handle an explosive situation.
