UTOPIA names new executive director -- Todd W. Marriott was named executive director and CEO of UTOPIA by its board of directors.
Marriott has more than 15 years experience in the telecom industry and specializes in market positioning, product conceptualization, and research and development. Marriott has also negotiated many telecommunications deals including global marketing and distribution rights, as well as the acquisition of smaller companies.
"What UTOPIA has lacked in the past in the way of telecom expertise will be changed with the addition of Todd and other key advisors who have worked in the telecom industry. We expect to see changes for the better deployment, marketing, and management of the network," said Alex Jensen, Chair of the UTOPIA board.
UTOPIA recently passed a $185 million refinancing plan and will unveil a new marketing plan in the coming months.

Nature's Sunshine to issue quarterly cash dividend -- Nature's Sunshine Products Inc., a Provo-based direct-seller of nutritional supplements, will issue a quarterly cash dividend of 5 cents per common share, payable May 30, to shareholders of record on May 19.
