Jazz fan rips referees' calls Print E-mail
Daily Herald

I am so proud of the Utah Jazz. They may not have won, but they should have! Both games. They won this game in every other way -- bench points, rebounds, 2nd chance points -- but somehow couldn't defend against the free-throw shots. What is up with the number of fouls on the Jazz, when the fouls by the Lakers are all but ignored. When the Lakers go to the free-throw line 43 times and the Jazz go only 16, isn't anyone watching?

Usually, when there is this much discrepancy in calls made, someone questions the officiating. How can we make this series more honest? Maybe we could stress the importance of agreement on the calls made among all referees, and if anyone suspects anything, report it. I'm not saying that there is anything dishonest going on, but we have seen dishonest refs in the past who have had the power to change the outcome of games. Isn't anyone watching? Or is everyone just so enamored with the Lakers and their MVP player, Kobe, that they will continue giving them preferential treatment?

Go Jazz!
