LEHI
• The Lehi Community Council asset of the month is on integrity. Parents are the foundation of a child's belief system, and kids act on their convictions and stand up for their beliefs. Parents can model integrity in daily life. Talk about what you believe and value, then act on what you say. When it comes to building positive values, you are your child's most important teacher. Have family discussions about the meaning of integrity. Define it in simple ways; for example, "being true to your beliefs in family, country, friends and religion is integrity." "Talk the talk and walk the walk." Comment on others when they have or have not acted with integrity as learning time, not gossip time. Ask your children to help you write a list of things that you will stand up for, things that are important to you and things you believe in. Post the list in you home. Celebrate and support your children when they act with integrity. MIDVALE • The first ever Utah Hawaiian Film Festival begins today at noon at the Hawaiian Cultural Center, 741 W.
