• STABBING -- A man was hospitalized Friday evening after a stabbing attack behind a Texaco car wash at 1594 S. State St. in Orem. Orem police reported the 57-year-old man claimed to have been approached by three men around 5 p.m. demanding money. Police said the men stabbed him three times in the abdomen and lower back and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. The wounds were not life-threatening, and the man was expected to be released from the hospital Friday evening. There were no witnesses, and the attackers were described as Hispanic men in their 20s with shaved heads.
• ACCIDENT -- Provo police responded to a bicycle accident Friday evening after a concerned passer-by called rescue workers. Police say an intoxicated man was unable to maintain his balance on the bicycle and fell over near the intersection of 300 South and 600 East at approximately 7 p.m. The man was not injured.
