Say no to legalizing polygamy Print E-mail

Now that you ask for my opinion on whether I think polygamy should be legalized, I say no -- definitely NO.

To do that would be like a slap in the face of everything that is moral in a marriage. It would open the doors to Sodom and Gomorrah where it beckons, "Born in sin, come in." And who suffers? The women and children suffer, not the copulating bulls.

In a federal system, the states make the laws concerning marriage. California's Supreme Court overturned the legislative will, and now a referendum of the people will make the determination in that state this fall on the issue. That vote will bind the state Supreme Court to the will of the people. That's the correct way, I think.
