Time to clean out Washington Print E-mail
Daily Herald

Once again Chris Cannon is trying to blame others for his and other Republicans' failure to get anything done. The other night on TV he blamed the Democratically controlled Congress for our economic, gas and national debt problems. He is slow to remember he has served in Congress 12 years, of which 10 were under Republican control and six of those were under a Republican President and Republican Congress.

During his watch the national debt has gone up, oil companies have flourished, food prices have soared. He has not proposed a solution to any of this, just tried to blame others. But he has voted Congress a raise bigger than any the public has gotten through Social Security. He has made sure he has complete medical coverage free for life and the list of privileges goes on. What happened to the idea of a public servant?! He gets campaign support from out-of-state powers who knows he is more interested in them than us. I hope the people of his district will say no thanks and clean out Washington of the yes people.
