As a lifelong conservative I am extremely disappointed with the Republican Party and their lack of moral governing. The Democratic Party has been out of touch with the "silent majority" since the LBJ Administration. The Democrats love of high taxes, government control of business, ardent support of immorality, and the expansion of the welfare state has been well documented.
But what of the Republicans? What have they done these past eight years to make things better? Republicans have expanded the federal government; they have borrowed and spent far beyond their means; they have in many cases supported liberalism and the global warming hoax; they have supported federal control of schools; they have neglected to solve the energy crisis; they are allowing criminal illegal aliens to roam freely across our southern border; they have sent our steel jobs to China and our manufacturing jobs to Latin America. And with the nomination of Juan McCain, Republicans have sold every conservative voter in America down the river. In the past the Democrats have been foolish, but who is the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows?
