UDOT TO RESURFACE UNIVERSITY PKWY. IN OREM BETWEEN GENEVA ROAD AND 400 WEST -- The Utah Department of Transportation advises motorists of construction work on University Parkway (State Route 265) from Geneva Road to 400 West in Orem. Beginning next week, construction crews will begin rotomilling and resurfacing a mile and a half section of University Parkway between Geneva Road and 400 West.
Work will take place Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. to avoid peak commuter travel. Traffic will be shifted to one side with one lane open in each direction during the construction period. Motorists should be aware that speed limits will be reduced through the construction zone and flaggers will be in place to handle minimal traffic delays. Plans are to complete the project by July 1. UDOT encourages motorists to use caution and travel at the posted speed limits while driving through work zones. Schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather, equipment problems or emergency situations. For more information on this project please call 765-7871.
