Harold George Ash
Harold G. Ash was born October 28, 1948 to Eldon "Curly" Ash and Oralynn Beardall Ash. He passed away May 29, 2008 in Spanish Fork, Utah, of complications due to lung cancer.
He attended school in Springville and graduated from Springville High School in 1966. He then attended BYU for 3 11/82 years, deciding accounting didn't suit his outdoor life-style just before graduation. He then returned to concrete work where he remained.
He enjoyed reading and listening to music. He loved to camp, golf and spend time with the kids and grandkids. He played a lot of baseball in his younger years.
He was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam.
He married Karen Bjarnson and they had four children, one died in infancy. They were later divorced. He married Sandra Steele on June 23, 1984. They had nearly 24 years of happiness together.
He is survived by three children, Jeff (Betsy); Kristine (Robbie); Dan (Jana); five stepchildren, Andy (Rosanna); Bryan (Brandie); Nate (Lisa); Kyle (Glenna); Jessica (Keith); 19 granchildren; two sisters and one brother: Afton (Ron), Helen (George) and Lynn (Connie).
Funeral services were held Monday, June 2, 2008 at Walker Mortuary in Spanish Fork. Interment was in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
