Free Family Swim -- The Strawberry Days Free Family Swim Night will be held on Monday at 6 p.m. Residents are invited to the Veterans Memorial Pool in Pleasant Grove for the event. The pool is located at 300 S. Locust. Public Works asks for help -- Lindon City is experiencing difficulties in the city sewer collection system and is asking residents and businesses for assistance. There has been an increase in the number of disposable shop towels collecting in distribution lines, as well as at the lift stations. This greatly increases the chances of sewage backing into homes and businesses. Additionally, dumping any kitchen grease or oils into drains causes similar problems. Staying aware of what goes into pipes helps avoid sewer backups and failures. City staff are asking that residents be aware of what is going into drains and remind families, employees and associates, as well. UDOT Public Open House -- UDOT is hosting an open house for the Vineyard Connector Study/Alternative Transportation Solutions on June 25 from 5-7 p.m. at the Timpanogos Special Service District, 5050 W. 6400 North, American Fork Public input is critical to the study team in order to develop a corridor that best meets the needs of the area communities. In addition to commenting at the open house, individuals may also comment and find study information on the project Web site at http://www.udot.utah.gov/vineyard or contact the comment hotline at (801)753-7343.
