Local firemen receive service awards Print E-mail

The Fireman Convention was held at Park City June 12 through 14. Those attending were: Scott and Gwen Spencer, Steve and Jill Spencer, Stan and Marilyn Spencer, Stuart and Kelly Montague, Marc and Chris Carter, Blair and Jolene Andreason, Carl and Jill McClellan, Roger and Mary Ruth Forsey, Neil and Glenna Losser, Miriam Kilmer, Mike and Carol Pulver, Joe Bona and Susan Howe

The convention was held at the Summit lodge Hotel in The Canyon and hosted by Park City, The Summit and Heber City.Training sessions were held for the men and the women had auxiliary meetings. They had a special speaker who had been burned over 70 percent of her body speak to them. It was very enlightening.

The Payson Ladies Auxiliary presented the burn center with a check for $500.

Another highlight of the convention was when awards were presented. Six firefighters from Payson received awards for years of service.

Marc Carter & Scott Spencer received recognition for their 20 years of service

Carl McClellan, Roger Forsey & Blair Andreason received recognition for their 30 Years of service and

Neil Losser for 40 Years of service.

That's 150 years of volunteerism in the fire department. Congratulations, guys.
