Cammi Chandler - SPANISH FORK PRESS

With over 70 vendors, activities for the kids, and plenty of outdoor hunting and fishing the Wasatch Mountain Outdoor Expo was the place to be this Father's Day Weekend. The event was held on Friday, June 13 and Saturday June 14 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds. Country music star Aaron Tippin performed on Friday evening, and a variety of music was performed on Saturday evening.

Phil Harold, event coordinator, commented, "Everyone has had a really good time," he went on to say, "This is a whole family event. You can come here and buy dad a great gift at a great price."

The event was $10.00 per person with $5.00 off if included with concert tickets. Vendors included Vortex, Browning, Liberty Safe, Timpanogos Harley Davidson and many more. The expo also boasted a great drawing for a fully guided fishing trip, an Alaskan trip, and an antelope hunt in Montana.

This is the first year the Wasatch Mountain Expo is held in Spanish Fork. The Genola Jam , a country concert, was the genesis for the Wasatch Mountain Expo. "We couldn't have asked for a better weekend weatherwise," said Harold. "It turned out really nice."

Sponsors for the event were Brent Brown Toyota, Barber Brothers and Provo CanAm Skidoo.
