A new field guide is available for US-191.¬  The road is also known as the Flaming Gorge - Uintas National Scenic Byway.

The book will introduce you to the unique billion years of wildlife and geologic features that you can view along the byway. US-191 runs from Vernal to Dutch John.

The new guide costs $14.95.¬  You can buy a copy online at www.inhaweb.com//gorge.html and at several locations in the Uintah Basin.

If you'd like to get a free copy of the book, and enjoy a Saturday touring the byway, attend a promotional event on June 21.

The book's authors will be stationed at different facilities along the byway. When you visit these locations, they'll provide you with a stamp.

If you obtain all four stamps, you'll qualify for a prize drawing. Prizes include a free night's lodging at the Red Canyon Lodge, gift certificates to the Intermountain Natural History Association and free copies of the new field guide.
