The Nebo Loop road is NOT open all the way over the top.
One can get to all the campgounds from either the Nephi or Payson side, and you can go down or up Santaquin Canyon, but not over the top, reported the Spanish Fork Rangers Office.
There was stil 5 ft. of snow at the top of Payson Canyon. With the hot weather we are experiencing. it won't be long now until we can go all the way over.
Alpine Loop is open to motorists. The Utah Department of Transportation has re-opened state route 92, or the Alpine Loop between Provo and American Fork Canyons, to motorists. The road will remain open through Fall 2008. |
