At the June 18 Mapleton City Council meeting, Mayor Laurel Brady¬ presented awards to those who were involved in the successful emergency rescue efforts of Cliff Holm of Springville. Holm, an employee of Clydeco Building Supplies of Mapleton, was accidentally electrocuted¬ while at work on May 7. Those honored included Clydeco¬ president Clyde Gammell, Mapleton Police Chief Dean Pettersson, Sergeant Ryan Farnsworth, Mapleton police officer; and volunteers with the fire and ambulance crews: Stephanie Olsen, Derald Olsen, Denise Clarke, Kris Ollerton, Brent Seamons, Paul Evans, Niel Burt, Kori Hjorth, Parick Carlson and Bill Nicol.
